The  Jennie Wade Riverboat
Located in Chilo Ohio
Bringing the stories of Ohio River communities to our  visitors , the Jennie Wade Media Center  connects participating  communities through media presentations, visual displays and on board activities available for young and old alike.

Teachers, contact the "Friends" for available lesson plans to use at the facility. Teacher members can use the facility "Free of Charge."

Robert Roe  is the center's production manager. His productions highlighting the region and the story of the restoration were featured during the 2004 season and will continue to be shown as part of the center's goal to promote the Ohio River Valley. We continue to add new programs that feature the history of these river communities. Some of these include the Lorentz production, "River Voices" a documentary about the 1937 flood, Phil Wenlocks' wonderful visual about the Portsmouth Flood wall murals and the WCET production of "Safe Passage". The center is planning displays and information about the ship building history of this region.
Over 5000 visitors have toured the media center and left  with a renewed interest and pride in the many wonderful resources of the region. Now, in this new permanet location, Chilo Lock #34, the facility will serve many more area residents and visitors for years to come.
